AYANA WINS ANOTHER AWARD: VOTED #3 SPA RESORT IN ASIA BY SMART TRAVEL ASIA READERS
AYANA Resort and Spa Bali is proud to announce that it has been voted the Number 3 Spa Resort in Asia in Smart Travel Asia’s ‘Best in Travel Poll’ 2009.
AYANA was the top-ranking property in Bali and Indonesia on the Top 25 Spa Hotels & Resorts list. It was also voted amongst the Top 25 Leisure Hotels & Resorts and the Top 25 Conference Hotels.
Bali was once again voted Asia’s Top Holiday Destination.
The Smart Travel Asia survey results reinforce AYANA’s position as the premier destination resort in south-east Asia, and are consistent with several other awards bestowed upon the property since its rebranding on April 1.
Among others, AYANA was the only hotel in Bali – and Indonesia – to make the list of Asia’s Top 15 Resorts in the Travel + Leisure 2009 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey, and was ranked Bali’s number one resort by leading Japanese travel magazine AB-Road.
These awards come just months after AYANA’s rebranding to an independent property under the management of US-based West Paces Hotel Group.
“Once again, AYANA has been voted the top ranking property on the world’s top ranking island, and all within a very short time after our rebranding,” said General Manager Charles de Foucault. “We are delighted and honored to be in the company of Asia’s most renowned properties, in the eyes of the discerning readers of Smart Travel Asia. We look forward to their visit to AYANA, where we continue to upgrade our facilities with the new Rock Bar perched on natural rock directly over the ocean, and the renovated Padi restaurant. We offer our guests a new experience every visit!”

Approximately 60 percent of voters were based in Asia (largely Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, India, China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and the Middle East), 20 percent in UK/Europe and 20 percent in USA and North America.
